Woodpecker began in 1973 in a small Bristol garage, started by Bruce Ker. That same passion for wood has been handed down through three generations — to his son Nelson, and now grandson Darwyn — making Woodpecker a genuinely family-run business to this day.

All Woodpecker timber is responsibly and sustainably sourced, and the company has pledged to become the first carbon-negative flooring company by 2030 — planting 50,000 oak saplings across 200 acres in South Wales to create the “Woodpecker forest of tomorrow.”
