OUR STORY
We're Tim and Ben Couch, the proud founders of Couch Flooring.
Flooring has been part of our lives from the very beginning. Our father, Steve Couch, worked in the trade, passing down his knowledge and craftsmanship to us. From helping out during school holidays to serving as apprentices, and now as business owners, we've dedicated ourselves to perfecting our craft.
While our roots are in Cornwall and the South West, our experience spans across the UK and Australia, where we've honed our skills and gained valuable insights into diverse flooring styles and techniques.
At Couch Flooring, we're passionate about innovation—exploring new materials, embracing fresh designs, and bringing creative ideas to life. We love what we do, and we're committed to delivering exceptional flooring solutions that transform your space.
WHERE WE ARE NOW
Since our beginnings, with our first showroom in an old car washing shed, Couch Flooring has grown steadily, driven by our passion for quality and customer satisfaction. We started with a showroom in Bude, serving the local community, and have since expanded to a second showroom in Wadebridge—both located in North Cornwall.
To better serve our customers, we've opened an outlet store next to our Bude showroom, offering a wide selection of flooring options. Our team includes talented, skilled local flooring professionals, as well as dedicated staff in our office, all committed to delivering exceptional service.
Community is at the heart of what we do. We’re proud to have taken on so far three local school leavers as flooring apprentices—who have now completed their training and continue to work with us as skilled floor layers. Currently, we are mentoring a new apprentice, supporting the next generation of flooring professionals.
Our growth reflects our commitment to quality, craftsmanship, and investing in the local community. We’re excited about what the future holds and look forward to helping more customers transform their spaces.
