Couch Flooring Named Best Flooring Retailer 2026

We’re delighted to share that Couch Flooring has been named Best Flooring Retailer (1-3 stores) in the Interiors Monthly Awards 2026 — a recognition awarded by industry peers across the flooring trade.

It’s a proud moment for us and one that reflects a story that started long before Couch Flooring became what it is today. Brothers Tim and Ben Couch were introduced to the flooring trade by their father, Steve, a long-standing fitter in the local area, and became apprentices working alongside him. They later went their own ways for a time, broadening their skills across different flooring products and working in various parts of the UK and Australia, before coming together to launch Couch Flooring as it stands today.

Today, Couch Flooring operates from our showrooms in Bude and Wadebridge here in Cornwall, along with an outlet store. We work with a carefully chosen range of trusted suppliers, including some of the biggest names in flooring, so we can offer real expertise on everything we sell.

Having come up through as apprentices themselves, Tim and Ben have also made it a priority to give back to the next generation, training local school leavers to become qualified fitters — helping to keep traditional flooring skills alive in the local area.

This award is judged by people who know the industry inside out, which makes it all the more meaningful to be recognised in this way. It’s a reflection of the hard work of our whole team — from the showroom floor to our fitting teams out on jobs every day.
