SEA SPACE, NEWQUAY
Project: Moments from the North Cornish shoreline in Porth, near Newquay, this hotel features design-led studios and apartments. The complete refurbishment transformed the existing hotel into Cornwall's first coastal aparthotel, boasting 56 self-catering units ranging from studios to two and three-bedroom apartments, along with a cafe/deli, restaurant, bar and fitness center.
Flooring: This extensive refurbishment involved significant groundwork, including thorough subfloor preparation, sanding, damp proofing and latex application, ensuring a solid foundation for the new flooring. We installed Moduleo luxury vinyl tiles across all 56 apartments, offering a stylish and durable finish. For the communal areas, a high-performance carpet tile was chosen to enhance comfort and aesthetic appeal. The restaurant and bar areas featured Forbo Marmolium flooring, seamlessly blending functionality with design. Quick-Step laminate was selected for the reception and ground floor areas, providing a welcoming atmosphere. In the gym, we installed resilient rubber flooring, while safety flooring was utilized in the commercial kitchens to meet health and safety standards. Every aspect of the flooring installation was executed to the highest standards, ensuring a luxurious and functional environment for guests.

TIDES REACH HOTEL, SALCOMBE
Project: In an area of outstanding natural beauty in Salcombe, a new build 50 bedroom wing for an existing hotel, refurbishment of restaurant, bar, communal areas and 10 new build residential apartments.
Flooring: The first part of this install focused on the hotel. Installing carpet to all 50 bedrooms and communal areas. Herringbone engineered wood was installed in the restaurant function area. While in the communal areas installing woven vinyl. This included a number of unique areas such as a tight spiral staircase.
We then moved onto the residential apartments providing straight plank engineered Kahrs wood in all apartments and Brockway British wool carpet to bedrooms. Communal areas were finished in woven vinyl.

PENARVOR, BUDE
Project: The Penarvor is a luxury new development of 9 two bedroom apartments with stunning sea views on the North coast of Cornwall.

Flooring: Kahrs wood was used throughout the living areas for all apartments, with carpet fitted to bedrooms. The developer passionate about design allowed each apartment to style the flooring to their own taste with owners coming to our newly completed showroom to individually pick out their flooring. Communal stairs were installed with an unnatural sisal carpet.

VICTORIA HOTEL, SIDMOUTH
Project: Refurbishment of the stunning 120-year-old Victoria Hotel's spa, located on Sidmouth seafront within an area of outstanding natural beauty. This project aimed to rejuvenate the existing hotel and bring the spa facility in line with the groups new branding.

Flooring: The renovation entailed the removal of existing flooring, followed by meticulous preparation of the subfloor. We installed Karndean Van Gogh luxury vinyl tiles throughout the spa, including the reception, relaxation areas and treatment rooms. Rubber gym flooring was installed in the gym sections. Close collaboration among all parties was essential to ensure that hotel operations continued with minimal disruption, while the work was executed to a high-quality finish.

LINK LODGE, EDEN PROJECT
Project: Refurbishment of the Link Lodge at the Eden Project which is home to some of the projects head office departments.

Flooring: A mixture of vinyl flooring and design carpet tiles were used throughout the lodge. Different carpet tile styles were used to create an eye catching design which was installed to a pre-set design. In communal areas vinyl was installed once floor prep of ply and feather was completed.

WATERSIDE HOLIDAY PARK, PAIGNTON
Project: Waterside Holiday Park, located on the cusp of the Paignton area, boasts spectacular views of the South Devon coastline and the ocean, close to the fabulous beaches and attractions of the renowned English Riviera. This project involved transforming the clubhouse into a premium bar and restaurant facility, alongside the creation of two luxury holiday apartments and three staff flats.
Flooring: The project included the installation of flooring throughout the new premium bar and restaurant, luxury holiday apartments and staff flats. Given the timeline, work was strategically scheduled during the winter season, ensuring minimal disruptions while adhering to a tight deadline. We utilized high-quality material, ensuring durability and style in high-traffic areas. Every aspect of the flooring installation was executed to the highest standards, delivering a sophisticated and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. ​​​

GROWING POINT, EDEN PROJECT
Project: The Growing Point project at the Eden Project features a new on-site nursery dedicated to the production of their own plant and food requirements. This innovative facility also serves as a state-of-the-art research hub, allowing Eden to advance its pioneering work. Spanning 7,250 square meters, the greenhouse is complemented by 750 square meters of support buildings that house research and education laboratories.
Flooring: For this project, we installed Forbo's Marmoleum flooring in the office and work spaces, ensuring a modern and functional environment. In the education room, over 100 square meters of herringbone wood flooring were carefully laid to create an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere. Thoughtful consideration went into selecting materials that align with Eden's commitment to sustainability. Forbo Marmoleum is not only aesthetically pleasing but also eco-friendly, featuring properties that enhance indoor air quality and reduce environmental impact - making it an ideal choice for eco-conscious spaces. The combination of durability and design ensures that the flooring supports the facility's mission while providing a comfortable and inspiring environment for staff and visitors alike.​​​

STRATTON SCHOOL, BUDE
Project: At Stratton School, we undertook a comprehensive refurbishment of all communal corridor floors. Transforming the school's interior and enhancing the overall learning environment. This project aimed to create a more inviting and functional space for students and staff alike.
​
Flooring: The flooring installation involved significant preparation work to ensure a high-quality finish. This extensive uplift included damp proofing, latex application and grinding to bring the existing subfloors up to standard. Once the groundwork was complete, we installed a stylish wood-effect Altro flooring throughout the corridors, combining durability with an aesthetically pleasing design. Enhancing the visual appeal of the school but also providing a resilient surface that can withstand heavy foot traffic, making it an ideal solution for a busy educational setting.​​

TOILET BLOCKS, EDEN PROJECT
Project: The reconfiguration and refurbishment of the existing toilet blocks at the Eden Project aimed to accommodate increased footfall while enhancing visitor experience. This project focused on creating modern, accessible facilities that align with Eden's commitment to sustainability and guest comfort.

Flooring: For the refurbishment, Noraplan flooring was utilized, known for its durability and eco-friendly properties. The installation employed a cap and cove method, ensuring seamless transitions and easy maintenance across all refurbished toilet blocks. This approach not only enhances hygiene but also provides a stylish and functional solution that withstands high traffic.​​​
W CLUB, LEISURE & SPA
Project: A new build luxury gym, fitness studio and spa facility to accompany an existing pool. Set in 500 acres of secluded Cornish countryside, part of the Whalesborough cottages development.
​
Flooring: The gym and fitness suite area of this project comprised of rubber gym flooring and Karndean luxury vinyl tiles. The client spec'd for LVT walkways throughout the gym to divide workout areas. Subfloor preparation was meticulously completed to ensure the rubber flooring and Karndean LVT met seamlessly with no hight differences between the two products. Karndean LVT was fitted throughout the 120m2 fitness studio. Within the spa rooms, toilets, staircase and landings LVT was run throughout.
